You have the gulf stream!  You should be able to plant any time now, if the soil conditions are right - that is when the soil is dry enough to make a good seed bed. Plant the potatoes at the correct depth - but do not put the ridge on yet.

Kerr Pinks is a main crop potato.  They are usually left in the ground to bulk up - &#038; give you some good sized potatoes.
The best time to plant them is when the soil has started to warm up, and is not wet. We cover our soil over a few weeks before planting, to stop it getting wet.
Early to mid March  is the ideal time to plant chitted potatoes in the open ground. But it all depends where you live!  Hope that helps
