The early potatoes are about ready to dig, and the main crop potatoes have been ridged up.� They have recovered from the bashing by the heavy rain and are all standing up and looking well.

The mint is a few inches tall now, so will be ready to join the new potatoes in the kitchen!

The early broad beans have been in flower for weeks, but a lot of flowers have fallen off without setting pods.� � The next couple of plantings have grown a lot.

The cabbages,� put in as plants, have recovered from the pigeon damage and grown away.

The brassica seedlings at the other end of the bed are coming on.� They are covered with various net structures,� to stop� the sparrows dust-bathing amongst them.

The early onions are still being buffeted by the wind.� But the shallots & garlic are not bothered.� At the other end of the bed, the leek seedlings are growing.

All three varieties of strawberry are out now.� � Although the early variety have had fruit for weeks,� they seem to be on hold, and are not ripening.

The carrots and beetroot planted last weekend in the polytunnel have just emerged.� Still no sign of the parsnips.� �
