Stephen
The water in the photo is rainwater that has not drained away. All the surrounding fields have inches of standing water after the rain.
The lawn is still flooded as in the photo, but we cannot remember it ever flooding before. Luckily the veg garden is not so badly affected.
Thanks for your message

Obviously gardening is your love/hobby - what a shame.
Is this just rainwater that hasn't been able to drain away or is it river water that has flooded into your garden? Is it in the veg garden?

Hi Sara

Thanks for your kind words. The farmers are having a bad time with their crops. We will have to hope that the rain that is forecast does not materialise.

Hi Top Veg,
I am so sorry that you have been affected by the floods. I hope the damage is minimal. I will be thinking of you.
