Beetroot Boiled by Sir Alan Sugar.
Sir Alan Sugar’s first job was boiling beetroot. At the age of 11, he used to cook beetroot for the local greengrocer. In those days it was usually sold ready cooked and often sliced.
Leave an inch of stalk attached to the beetroot and boil it with its skin on, so that it does not bleed and loose its red colour. It takes from 1 - 2 hours to cook a beetroot, depending on the size.
So, next time you are boiling beetroot, just think where it may be leading you!
