The favourite bean poll has been running for a month, and 54 people have taken part. Beans are easy to grow in the vegetable garden, and there is such a good selection to choose from, that it is often difficult to decide which to grow.

The runner bean is the clear favourite receiving 31% of the votes. The Broad bean was a close second favourite, with 26% of the votes. Lima beans, also known as butter beans, only received 2 votes. Perhaps this is because the seed are almost impossible to buy in this country. Does anyone know of a source?
