What to Plant Now in the Vegetable Garden

Posted by TopVeg - January 4th, 2008

broad-bean-plantJanuary is not a good month for planting vegetables in the garden because the soil:

  • will be cold, so plant growth is slow
  • is usually wet and it will tend to glue together when the seeds are planted. The air will be squeezed out of the soil & the seed will be unhappy.
