  1. Yes I agree with you on when to harvest onions but i am worried because it is so very wet here in South Wales they may rot in the ground. The bulbs are quite large and the leaves are still strong growing on sloping ground,Any advice please would be appreciated. Should i harvest now or wait a while. AL

    I would leave them until they start to neck over – we may have a drier spell then!
    If the area is not flooded & the onions are growing & healthy, they will not rot.
