Sourcing Loganberries

TopVeg received a comment from Alma, who is having problems sourcing loganberries:

“Hi Topveg
I am into cooking in a big way. I make gourmet jams but mostly for family and friends. In Canada I had a small jam business and I lived in the fruit belt so I made lots of jams. Now I make lots of pies, jams and such. I would like to get some loganberries for both jam and pies, fruit cobblers and just eating. I have never tried them and would like to find out if I like them. I love blackberries and raspberries so I think that this is a fruit I would like to work with. What I usually try to do is get a case of fruit and freeze it, that way I can make what I want when I want. I have done some catering in the past but this is just for family use at this time. If I really like them I may try canning some also.”

TopVeg was able to find 2 sources of loganberries in Alma’s locality, using the grow fruit & veg.co.uk website.

Good luck, Alma, hope you find some sources of good quality loganberries!
