Lautrec Wight is an autumn planting garlic:
- a hardneck garlic (Rocambole in the USA)
- very pretty
- white outer skin
- deep pink cloves
- harvest July
In the spring these garlic send up a scape (stalk)
- also called Garlic Scapes or Rocamboles
- these tender green shoots form at the top of the stiff flower stems of hardneck garlic
- add flavour to stir-fries, soups, salads, chopped and sautéed in butter and added to mashed potatoes or omelettes
Lautrec Wight autumn planting garlic will not take up much room and is worth growing.
