Lautrec Wight is an autumn planting garlic:

  • a hardneck garlic (Rocambole in the USA)
  • very pretty
  • white outer skin
  • deep pink cloves
  • harvest July

In the spring these garlic send up a scape (stalk)

  • also called Garlic Scapes or  Rocamboles
  • these tender green shoots form at the top of the stiff flower stems of hardneck garlic
  • add flavour to  stir-fries, soups, salads, chopped and sautéed in butter and added to mashed potatoes or omelettes

Lautrec Wight autumn planting garlic will not take up much room and is worth growing.
