Daisybus Gardens demonstrate how to garden your way to better health.
The Pembrokeshire Daisybus Gardens are near Solva on the St David’s Peninsula, a wonderful place to visit. The Gardens are a series of fifteen themed plots and mini meadows designed to show how everyone can reap the many benefits of a closer connection with nature. They teach that gardening is good for mind, body and soul; leading to a fitter, healthier & happier person.
Being outdoors can boost the ‘happy hormones’ which contribute to a more positive mood and better mental health. Gardens are an ideal place to practice mindfulness. Professor Mark Williams says: “An important part of mindfulness is reconnecting with our bodies and the sensations they experience. This means waking up to the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of the present moment”.
