			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Look out for table top vegetables &#8211; the new way to grow veg!  <a title="peace tree farm" href="http://www.peacetreefarm.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/home.home/index.htm">Peace Tree Farm </a> in the USA are developing a miniature tomato plant called Sweet-N-Neat. </p>
<p>This tomato has been  propagated  to be tabletop size and is laden with heavy fruit,  so the tomatoes can be plucked off for eating.  It keeps on producing so can sit on the table for general grazing!</p>
<p>Sweet-N-Neat grows in traditional Christmas colours with its red fruit and dark green foliage.  Lets hope this table top vegetable will be on general release for next year!</p>

<li>1.75litres wine vinegar</li>

<p><strong>Method</strong></p>

<li>cut up the tomatoes</li>
<li>peel, core and chop the apples</li>
<li>peel and slice the shallots</li>
<li>crush the ginger with a rolling pin</li>
<li>halve the chillies</li>
<li>place the ginger &amp; chillies in a muslin bag, tie it securely &amp; place in the preserving pan, &amp; add all the other ingredients</li>
<li>put the pan on a gentle heat &amp; stir until the sugar has dissolved</li>
<li>then simmer for about two hours without the lid on the pan</li>
<li>when there is no more runny liquid, and the chutney is creamy and thick, remove the muslin bag</li>
<li>pour into warm, sterilised jars, cover, seal and label</li>
<li>keep for 2 months to allow the flavour to develop</li>
</ul>

<p>The advantage is that the tomato food is targeted on the roots in the inside pot. The outer pot is used for water, and it makes watering much quicker. Water can be left in the outer reservoir to trickle into the growbag when required.

<p>Three growpots fit into one growbag. The tomatoes are planted so that the compost is the same level as the outer chamber. This leaves room for a pint of water to be added to the top of the pot.
